Send my knives 12+ days ago. No contact, no tracking information, nothing, genuinely worried.
I hand delivered their provided bubble mailer to the post office 12 days ago. 600$ of knives seem to be lost.
They have no phone number, waiting for an email response that I doubt will ever come.
Will update this post as things unfold.

Knives diff arrive A+ sharp however.
Took a while, they were backed up over the holiday season, but were responsive to inquiries about the delay. I decided to go all out and send 14 knives from expensive Miyabi’s to white handled members mark food service knives. And I am not disappointed at all. I expected my good knives to come back razor sharp but I did not expect my cheap food service knives to be just as good. Will definitely use the service again as needed. Thank you!
I sent my knives to Knife Aid because it advertised 24 hour turn around once they were received. I was happy with how easy it was to package the knives and to send them out.
I sent the knives and didn't hear anything back. I contacted Knife Aid and the responded that they received the knives but they were backed up and it would take more than the 24 hours as previously mentioned. I get it and figured I'd wait a few days and give them a chance to catch up.
Fast forward a week since they received the knives and still no update. I messaged Knife Aid and received the same exact response from before that was apparently just a copy and paste. Still no closer to knowing when my knives will be returning to me. I understand issues that arise but an actual "I care about your issue" response would be nice.
I cannot say anything about the quality of the sharpening service as of yet. I can however speak to the standard 24 hr turnaround time. My knives have been in there possession now for over 5 days and the response that i got from their email is that we don’t have an ETA and can’t even estimate it for me. They will likely have my knives for more than two weeks. For advertising 24 hr turnaround, this to me seems like a false claim. I would not use this service again.
I sent 7 knives to Knife Aid on December 26, and they arrived there on December 29. I got my knives back on January 16. So much for their quick turnaround! Even worse, the knives returned just as dull as when I sent them. Seems they had an $89 round trip to California, then sat in a warehouse. They didn't even get to see the sights.
Great service! Very fast turnaround as promised. We were so please with our first 4 knives that we sent 5 more to be sharpened. So much better than trying to sharpen our own knives. We will become regular users if the service and are telling all our friends about it.
My knives arrived at Knifeaid on January 8th. My knives did not leave until January 18th to come back to me. On their website they continue to advertise a 24 hour turnaround, this is simply false advertising. Through many communications with their customer service, which was responsive, they were not able to give me any eta on my knives and were aware of the enormous backlog they were experiencing. And yet, they still are advertising that it is a 24 hour turnaround, why not make a note on your website to let people decide whether they want to be without their knives for weeks? I asked for my knives back with a refund and was informed they will be doing no refunds and sent me a gift instead. I much rather would have received a refund or even partial refund for the 10x longer time processing my knife sharpening than advertised. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars is because my knives did come back sharp, however I will never use Knifeaid again and warn anyone against using them.
I initially placed an order with KnifeAid on December 2nd, 2023, for their seven knives mail-in sharpening package costing $89.00. After receiving the package on December 11th, which included an additional sleeve, I promptly mailed back eight knives. Based on the 24-hour turnaround guarantee advertised on their website, I expected the knives to be returned between December 17th and 21st, in time for our holiday family gatherings.
Unfortunately, the knives never arrived within this timeframe, and there was no communication from KnifeAid about any delays. I reached out on December 25th, and while they acknowledged the delay on December 26th, they did not provide any specific information about the status of my order or the reason for the delay. Despite further communication attempts, the only compensation offered was a 3 pc Henckels pairing set valued at $15, which was inadequate considering the $89 spent and the inconvenience caused.
Furthermore, KnifeAid informed me that my order wouldn't be shipped unless I paid an additional $10 for the 8th knife, which was not initially communicated. After multiple unanswered emails, my knives were finally shipped back almost a month late, in early January.
This experience has been deeply disappointing. The lack of effective communication and adequate customer service from KnifeAid, especially during a crucial time, has been frustrating. I would caution potential customers about using their services based on my experience.
